Welcome to the Website for the 38th NASBR

All of the information required to find your way to, prepare for, register for and participate in the 38th NASBR is available on this website. Please check frequently for updates. For all general questions about the 38th NASBR, please contact the local host Gary Kwiecinski and program director Roy Horst.

All activities for the upcoming meeting will be held at the Scranton Hilton and Conference Center, 100 Adams Avenue, in downtown Scranton. Eateries and pubs abound within walking distance of the Hilton. The historic downtown district, undergoing extensive renovation, is well-known among locals for its club scene and roaming Office television show cameras. A short stroll will offer beautiful and peaceful settings to sit and sip coffee or other beverages with your colleagues.

Northeast Pennsylvania is in full fall foliage in October when the weather is anything but predictable. It could be 75oF and sunny or it could be snowing. Humidity is usually low and temperatures range from crisp at night to warm during the day. Locals wear jackets at night at this time of year, but be prepared for rain, just in case. Pennsylvania is a diverse and spectacular family-friendly state, so you might want to plan some excursions.

The Hilton's special rate for NASBR attendees ($119/night) can be found here.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in
Pennsylvania for another great
North American Symposium on Bat Research!
