Take a 5 minute walk to the Neon Sign Museum featuring a collection of historic signs that tell a story about Edmonton’s neon past. Although in the middle of the capital city, you can explore endless trails that can sometimes make you feel like you are in the middle of a parkland forest. You can explore the river valley on foot or try renting a bike (tandem bike anybody?) or even a segway with River Valley Adventure. The exhibit explores the rich and beautiful cultures of First Nations and Métis Peoples while encouraging visitors to seek out the truths as lived by Indigenous Peoples before and after Canada became a country. Photo credit: Chris Hsiung Legislature Grounds - Edmonton Street Car - Whyte AveTake the Light-Rail Transit (LRT) or walk to the Legislature Grounds to check out one of the locations that was used in the filming of the HBO show Last of Us. If you are a LEGO fan, take a walk down the stairs and you can find a 120,000 piece LEGO replica for the legislature grounds with lots of fun cameos. Make sure to bring cash as even their payment systems are in the traditional way! Muttart ConservatoryThe Muttart Conservatory, one of Canada's largest indoor botanical collections, is nestled in the river valley. It features more than 700 species of plants in 3 pyramids that contain climate-regulated biomes: arid, temperate, tropical. They also have a fourth feature pyramid where you can enjoy unique themed displays. They have beautiful Natural and Human History halls chronicling Alberta's people, animals, and landscapes. You can even meet some live critters in their Bug Gallery!
