The Bernardo Villa Fund supports NASBR's Villa Award for outstanding research by a Mexican student, providing travel, lodging, banquet, and registration costs to attend a NASBR meeting. The Karl F. Koopman Fund supports NASBR's Koopman Prize, which is awarded at each annual meeting for the best student paper in systematics or zoogeography. The Spallanzani Award Fund pays the expenses for distinguished scholars from outside North America to attend the NASBR meeting.
